The company was established in 1974 with the purpose of producing fittings for aluminium windows and doors combining innovation and ease of use. After many years they remain the company's "core business". In 1980 the main plant was transferred to an industrial area located in Altopascio and consistently enlarged over the following years until it has reached the current size of approximately 36.000 sq.m. set in over 70.000 sq.m. of land. Today Fapim employs over 370 people (while the Euroinvest Group which Fapim is part of employs more than 500 people), manufacturing products with world wide distribution, although European markets remain the most important ones. The Spanish, Belgian and Polish branches provide widespread product distribution often extending beyond their natural borders.
