The whole production cycle is carried out within the company's manufacturing facilities which are equipped with the most advanced production technologies.

Automatic production systems machine the aluminium bars into the final components ready for surface treatments.

Finished turned components of both aluminium and stainless steel are obtained through automatic machines.

Powerful multi-stage production lines produce pressed components directly from either stainless steel or aluminium sheets.

The market demand for soft and round shaped products has pushed the company to pay greater attention to the die casting process. Thanks to this process, components can be now manufactured from aluminium, zamak (a zinc alloy) and plastic.

Special robots provide both grinding and polishing of the die cast components.

The company is equipped with state-of-the-art oxidation plant. For building purposes anodic oxidation is one of the most tested surface treatments of the aluminium. It guarantees high protection and resistance to atmospheric corrosion compared with other types of treatments, despite of the limited range of colours. Oxidation cannot be used on die cast components.

Fapim have three up-to-date spray painting plants. Polyester powder spray paint ensures the same (or better) resistance to atmospheric agents as the anodic oxidation. It also allows products manufactured from different materials to be treated in a wide range of colours.

PVD finishes use modern technology, originally developed for aerospace applications, to provide suitable finishing for products needing both functional and decorative coating. PVD is able to guarantee wear and colour shade resistance.

 


This technology is absolutely ecological, and consists of the evaporation of a metallic source in a vacuum chamber; the metals used are the Zirconium Nitride for gold finishes, and the Titanium Nitride for a colour similar to the stainless steel. The vapours leave a hard uniform metal coating over the surface of the components once they have been polished, copper, nickel and chrome-plated, thus making them appear shine and homogenously finished.

The plants are completely automated and specific for each product type. They allow standard components assembly while guaranteeing a high level quality for all the finished products.

Special plants provide automatic and semi-automatic production of finished products.

All the products, including most semi-finished products, are handled by automatic warehouse that is directly connected to the company's operating system. Picking of goods is made through a computerized system and in accordance with the planned shipment list or processing list for semi finished items.
Operators only have to pick the products at the "exit" and send it to the final destination.
